Rooftops of Tehran (Hungarian edition)

A moving novel about love, friendship and the longing for freedom in 1970s Iran.

During the summer of 1973, Pasha, an ordinary teenager in Tehran, is trying to navigate school, friendship and his first love for the girl next door, Zari. Every evening he and his friends gather on the rooftops of Tehran to talk about tradition, freedom, family and the future.

When one of their friends is taken away by the secret police, their peaceful world is shattered. The young friends are forced to confront the cruelty of an oppressive regime as their lives change forever.

Rooftops of Tehran is both a heartfelt coming-of-age story and a powerful portrait of everyday life in Iran before the revolution.
